THE BIOVERITAS PROCESS
The BioVeritas Process™ upcycles low value feedstocks by converting them into short- and medium-chain fatty acids.
Updated without Natural Acid Recovery:
The heart of the BioVeritas Process™ is Directed Mixed Culture Fermentation, which is powered by a self-regulating ecosystem of microorganisms that conduct fermentation inspired by what occurs in the gastrointestinal tracts of various animals.
Our Directed Mixed Culture Fermentation is a step-change improvement from that which happens in the GI tract or in traditional fermentation. Through the combination of excess biomass feedstocks and processing controls, we can direct the mixed culture in a way that enables control over the product outputs.
Further, Directed Mixed Culture Fermentation does not require costly strain development or high sterility conditions demanded by precision fermentation, in addition to being more resilient and adaptable.
From the fermentation, the target carboxylic acids are recovered at high purity and further derivatized to serve market needs.
Benefits:
-
Upcycling excess biomass
-
Bio-based products (>98% biogenic)
-
Feedstock flexible
-
High purity carboxylic acid
